EndNote Web is an Internet-based citation manager available as standalone version or as part of the EndNote Desktop. UW-Madison faculty, staff, and students do not need to purchase the EndNote Desktop version to use EndNote Web. Users can use EndNote Web to collect, organize, format, and insert (into Microsoft Word) references/citations from literature databases, webpages, etc. UW-Madison staff and students get 2GB of space on EndNote Web for the storage of pdfs as well as a maximum of 50,000 citations. The purchase of EndNote Desktop X7 expands a user's storage space on EndNote Web to unlimited and an unlimited number of citations.

To create your own free EndNote Web account (without purchasing the EndNote Desktop version):
If you are on campus with a computer on the UW-Madison IP Network:
NOTE: When you are no longer affiliated with UW-Madison, you will lose access to your EndNote Web account when your account expires (unless you purchase the EndNote Desktop).
If you are off-campus and not on the UW-Madison IP Network:
